  1. Gristwood & Toms Ltd. Salary Review: April 2022

Gristwood and Toms Ltd. have recently undergone a major review of staff earnings.

We studied available salary trends within our sector, comparing these with the ‘real time’ achievable averages of our own pay structures. We also considered the differences affecting earning potential due to variation of contractual rates in London and the South East.

This study has guided a significant change to the day rates we are able to pay across all levels of competence, along with a notable revision to the percentage allocations to certain contract areas. This ensures a greater opportunity for our teams to achieve or exceed their revised day rates.

We are confident that our new pay structures, first class working conditions and unrivalled investment in our staff, equipment, and facilities, makes Gristwood and Toms Ltd. the leading UK employer in our industry.

  16. Fire.jpg.47e9543adee02c4120421e7652f83b04.jpgOur supply of sustainably sourced firewood is collected from the London area and surrounding counties. The vast majority of timber comes from local authority trees that have become dangerous, are at the end of their lives and so have to be removed for health and safety reasons. The trees removed are all replaced like for like, in the same place where possible or in more suitable situations when the old site isn’t viable anymore.

Our eco logs are Woodsure accredited, being kiln dried to between 10-15% moisture content. This level ensures the best quality, great combustibility and the least amount of particulates
released into the atmosphere. Our drying kiln is fuelled by our Bio-mass boiler which uses the very logs that it dries, further enhancing the green credentials of our high quality eco logs.

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
