  2. i spent 20 quid on a lapdance before covid and i think it was better than a phone case
  3. i was under the impression that lack of reply is classed as allowing the work? does this vary between councils? "We have until 24th November 2021 to consider making a tree preservation order on the tree(s). If by this date you do not hear from us you may carry out the work as long as you do so within two years from the date of your notice and do no more work on the tree(s) than is set out in your proposal. We will, however, aim to inform you of the outcome of your proposal before this date." perhaps the rule is different in tpo and conservation area?
  4. any comments or opinions on a 550 that struggles in use? bought it 2nd hand, often runs down as if its running out of fuel, sometimes slow when starting, needs careful work with the throttle to warm up apparently no fault codes on it

  17. shirley your main line should be upright from waist height, and saw should be below the waist only and to the side. or a meringue? in 20 odd years ive cut my line once, and it was the trailing end to the floor below attachment in a leaning tree.
  18. never seen a recall on a prussik loop yet just saying
  19. also it should be said its a well known fact that brexit caused a lot of structural weaknesses in trees which make them potentially risky to climb and we all know that covid is making ropes decay more and making chainsaws blunt faster
  20. feels like some people in this thread are taking the weewee out of the current guidelines on 2 rope working. doesnt seem fair on the people who spend their entire week sitting in an office telling us how best to swing around a tree. most accidents of this type in trees involve a break in the rope system somewhere, or the anchor branch fails. sounds to me like the rope is the problem here and we should just get rid of all the ropes and remove the risk they pose. 98% of these climbing accidents also involve a tree. maybe thats something we need to look into resolving as well.
