Ornamental evergreen dying in sections that I was hoping to get advice on. Probably coincidence but it started when after having a new roof applied (shingles so no liquids or chemicals, but alot of activity around it). Twice now I have shaken out all of the brown needles until it was all green so I could monitor the progress. After the first time I fertilized it (Job's spikes) and connected my hose to a timer and laid the end of the hose near the base of the tree (between the base and the canopy). It waters automatically every 4 days or so. Nothing that I have done has helped and it is beginning to look pretty sparse. I am concerned that I am going to end up cutting it down. Any advice? Is it over for this tree?
