Hi all I really hope that Ash die back has not spread to beech trees. An ancient beech near where I live died it was covered in Ganoderma fungus before being felled. Since then two more younger beech trees are showing signs of distress, shedding seeds, thin canopy. I pass them as I walk into town. I hope it's not the fact that Ipswich has as much rain as the Middle East. Or simply that Beech is sensitive to global warming. I don't know much about trees other than I get upset when I see trees that I've known as a child are felled. Only those folk who have lived in the same place all their lives will understand.
