  2. Hi, I have some concerns about the Cherry tree in my garden and I’m after some advice. It has an opening on the side which has been growing fungus. The tree looks healthy and is flowering lovely but this hollow opening is worrying me as the trunk inside seems a bit dry and a little bit brittle. Its quite a big solid tree and not weakened in anyway. There is one limb above showing signs of the bark pealing back but is flowering fine. Any advice will be helpful on what I can do or treat it.
