  1. Am a newbie to above unit on learning curve for best results. Realize newer models show easy auto tension chain change release so HP must have seen the need for upgrade past this problem. Email to Mfg bounced down the chain of sales without solution or comment. We have years of handling farm firewood manually with chain saws now with automation hope. Chain removal after complete bar back off on guide slot does not allow lift off of chain by clearing bar channel, much less replacing after sharpening. Belt drive sprocket appears fixed (not turn free) without a normal chain saw rotation to allow chain roll into place before tightening with bar lengthen screw. Getting chain off was by complete bar removal. This does not appear path intended in manual description of chain only lift off. Careful study for enough chain slack appears to have only one remedy; lengthen the bar angle slot a half inch or so to allow the bar length to recede that half inch. This kind of part adjust seems a harsh remedy for a piece of equipment heralded as very loaded with user friendly forethought. Better minds, what am I missing here? Chain rotations need quick possible access and replacement. Is slot length change required or even without other problems, or is some better easy chain removal only path yet not found being missed? Hoping experience insights will surface in response on this issue. Appreciate helpful input.
