  1. I take the point about the high demands placed on chipper blades but I’m thinking that on a chipper of this ilk, they probably weren’t the best of the best to start with
  2. I'll get in touch with him, thank you!
  3. Unfortunately these are different……I think that they may be incorrectly listed. when I bought the machine I also bought 5 sets of spare blades thinking that these would see the machine out, so I have 5 unused sets of the above!! (My fault that I didn’t check them at the time, which was a couple of years ago). if the above blades are any use to anyone let me know😀 Thanks for the advice people
  4. This sounds like a good option..... I did contact rotatech about having some blades made but the minimum order quanty pushes the price up to far more than the chipper is worth. Any reccomendations for other firms to try? many thanks
  5. i had to blowtorch most the bolts to get the blades off so I think I'll have ruined the hardening on the blades, also had to grind a slot to get one of them out so overall blades are pretty knackered! I'm just waiting to hear from them. thanks for the help chaps
  6. Evening all, wondering if anyone could help me source some blades for a "black tools" chipper ? I thought it was a generic Chinese chipper but the blades are a different size to any that I can find (270mmx58mmx9mm) many thanks
  7. thanks for the tip stewmo (I'm going to need some since I accidentally chucked my silky through it......)
  8. quite right - apologies doobin - my mistake !! (actually I think its my laptop's autocorrect, but I'll take the blame 😀) many thanks for your help on the blades
  9. Morning All, I'm after a large quantity of chip to mulch around some whips and hedge that I'm trying to get established. Location is just outside Cockermouth (Esps Farm on the tip site directory). I'd be happy for either a large bulk delivery(obviously happy to pay) or regular drops offs many thanks, Andy
  10. thanks dobbin - so spare blades are easy enough to get? can I as which dealer you get yours from please?
  11. Please can an I as those of you who are running the lower budget Chinese made chippers a question? (such as Rock machinery/sinolink/crytec/lumag/hyundai machines) what do you do for spare blades? or are they a close enough copy of the CS100 to use those blades? many thanks
  12. peds - thanks you for reporting back - a lot of the stuff I would need to chip is actually hawthorn, so you have done me a huge favour - is it the shape of the hawthorn that makes it such a problem or the "hardness"/texture of it? Its a shame, because we really could have done with the mulch for our veg patch! thanks again, Andy
  13. Thanks for the info Peds - sounds as though you're using it in a similar way/intensity to what I'm planning - not really "commercial" scale use but I've got quite a bit of my own stuff to do and wanted to use it to mulch around the veg patch, I'm not often going to be moving it that far, so I might just give one a go thanks again, Andy
  14. @peds Hi Peds, have you put any more time on you're little blue chipper yet - looks like the sort of thing that I could do with so just wondering how its going?
  15. Hi Openspaceman - just seen your reply, thank you very much for your insight, I'll give it a go. Andy
