Have you just spoke to someone in a office ? they will always need hand cutters as machines cant do it all, Edge trees, big trees inside and there is always a few on steep out of reach bankings where the machine cant get to,
I spoke to the general manager for the South East who put me in touch with the harvesting area manager, spoke to him and he took my number but said they're moving away from hand cutters to more mechanised felling.

I've spoken with Euroforest, they're moving away from handcutters and towards haversters because of health and safety. Thanks though.

Hand cutter looking for work
I've spent the last year in a mixture of hardwoods, coppicing, thinning.
I've also done some larger stuff, overstood Grand Fir plantations,
Oaks in a woodland needing to come down, storm damaged Beeches etc.
Own saws, PPE, and tickets (30,31,32 EFAW+F) and insured.
Ideally around Kent/Sussex, but happy to travel/potentially relocate if the work's there.
More than prepared to graft to earn a decent wage, currently self employed and on a piece rate felling Chestnut but open to other options.

No worries! I'm just outside Watchet after finishing a job and figured there was no harm in asking!
