  1. Yeah, i just figured it out. I just needed to see the chain brake band to check that it wasn't damaged. Thanks for all your responses.
  2. I've cleaned it up and it still appears as if the plastic backing is in one big piece. I've taken out all the screws and i'm trying to pry it open now, but it's really tight and i'm worried i might snap it.
  3. I just tried unscrewing the screw on the top right of the image, but the whole plastic plate at the back is in one piece. I can't find a little plastic cover. Can anybody help? (apologies, i am a beginner)
  4. Hi, i was wondering if someone could help me. Do you know where the chain brake band is on a Stihl MS271? Do you have to remove the clutch to get to it? Thank you
