I guess you are too far from me to borrow mine?
thanks fella, really appreciate the offer but its more than likely i'll have a lot more to do on our farm and on a farm local to me

Actually it will be a bit more than 40% overall as on the home auction site it says auction premium 15%, online fee 5% and VAT 20%
1.15*1.05*1.2=1.449 and this Ibidder site works out slightly differently 1.2*1.2=1.44
Knocking on 50% is quite a hike, I’ll keep an eye on it

Thanks Chris, will follow that up and give him a shout, the 40% auction fees might be killer though

Cheers Chris, that’s exactly what I’m after!

About to start clearing a fair size block of Larch and am looking for a secondhand 4 or 5 ton tractor winch to go on the back of my DB 885.
Recently missed out on a couple on eBay that went for around £1-1.5k, so looking for something around that price range, if anyone knows of any, please give me a shout.cheers

SAW LOGS WANTED
in Milling Forum
Posted
Hi guys,
I'm looking to source small amounts, 2-3 ton at a time, of softwood saw logs (Larch, WR Cedar, Dug fir) in the Gloucestershire/ South Wales area.
I've been climbing for the last 20 years now and have finally bit the bullet and got myself an HM126 sawmill so hopefully i'll spend less time monkeying around in the trees...
I do still climb, so coming by hardwoods isn't so much of a problem, it's coming by decent sized softwoods that's proving to be tricky - i can get 15-18" diameter Larch no worries; but anything around 24-26" @ 7- 12ft in length is proving to be a problem, so i can carry on making, amongst other things, yurts which seem to be going well!
Space it limited just now hence small amounts.
Collection isn't a problem.
Any tips or leads would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers J
