  1. Thanks for the input, what's the difference between a lwb shogun and the shogun sport? I wanted to stay away from the shotguns as they have the 3.2l engine so seemed less economical? I also thought the older auto box would be less economical than me driving it like a grandad - any truth to that?
  2. Ive personally put a 361 through a pair of trousers with a log inside and it just kept going, i think over a certain bar size there isnt enough ballistics in the trousers to clog it up. never tested a baby but after what i saw with the 361 im not in a hurry to test it.
  3. Hi all, currently own a 110 defender but looking at selling it and buying something a bit more practical and economical, but still want a truck/4x4. whats the consensus on shogun sports? (looking at getting 04 reg for £2500) If i'm self employed can i register this as commercial and limit the road tax to 250/year? any insight you guys have much appreciated ?
  4. Hi Everyone, Just signed up as ive heard so much about this in the industry and thought its about time to check it out. look forwards to getting to know you all, you'll probably find me in the milling section. I dont suppose anyone on here has done a "guide to going self employed"? I'm looking at making the jump and have a lot of questions - would be cool if theyve already been asked and answered!
  5. Hi All, I've decided to make the jump to self employed after 5 years in the industry. Spent the last 3 years running teams and teaching along the way. Looking for some local firms that I can work alongside and keep learning! currently hold 30,31,38,39, first aid, chipper, C1 driving license (no towing yet) I'm a confident, methodical climber really looking to focus on learning more rigging. Based in Tadley, looking for £160/day any local firms please drop me an email, my contact details are: Paul Daniel [email protected] Cheers!
