  1. Great to see you're interested in arb. I'd do an online search for companies in your area, get in touch and see if anyone can give you a trial day or two helping on the ground or appropriate to any qualifications and experience you might already have. You'll get a better insight into the job if it's new to you, they'll get a look at you and it might lead to further work.

If you're new to the profession have a think about what your medium term goals are and preferred employment status, sub contracted or on a PAYE payroll, before you approach potential employers. It'll also be useful to have your employment history to date ready to answer any questions.

    Good luck.

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
