  1. That's great, longer lifespan than todays tanalised posts. We have just been thinning some oak plantation and had been planning on logging it. This provides another use for some of it and there's always fencing to be done on the farm. Thanks.
  2. gdh, your oak posts look interesting, are they made from thinnings and how long do you expect to get out of them?
  3. I use 536Li xp saws and also had one pack up on a wet day. It was in my workshop for about a week with no change before being taken back to the dealer who rang me after a couple of days to say he could find nothing wrong with it. It has been fine since but I've been wary of wet weather use
  4. Hello All, first post so will have to learn the ropes. I was concerned by this topic as I use a battery saw on a daily basis and had assumed that my regular chainsaw ppe would do the same job as it had done with a petrol saw. After watching the video in the link I presume all will be fine, fingers crossed!
