  1. I also run a small grounds/garden maintenance business and have been looking into the same thing, the going rate I found to be most common was about £25 ish per 1/4 acre. (Wilts/Glos area) I'm sure you price per job at the moment as I do, so I will prob do the same with commercial if I decide to go for it next season. I never price per hour as most of my standard domestic lawn and hedge cuts take 15 to 30 mins and I would never make any money! Also Looking to do chainsaw certs up to 380 as keep being asked to do small tree work and am having to turn it away!

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.
