Hi,
Like many others I'm using this time to give the tools some love. Come time to do the kombi engine unit; it's a strong reliable engine that goes well but undoubtedly vibrates more than it did when new. Looking through the exploded diagrams on l&s engineers (and using my own eyes) I can't find any AV mounts on it. There are a couple of small rubber lined sleeves which I could replace but I cant see it making much difference.
So my question is (if I wanted to go further), has anyone replaced the plastic sleeves that act like the shaft bearings, and if so was it worth the hassle?
Or is there something else I'm missing to replace?
I know many will think or say that a professional tool that has already done its stint on the front line should be retired and replaced with new and reliable, which I don't disagree with, but given it's still a super reliable machine I thought id explore the options...
Thanks in advance.
Michael
Thanks lsEngineers for the fantastic diagrams

Reading about the restrictions and conditions there is this point:
"Changes made to the business’s rateable value or rating assessment after 11 March 2020 will be not be used to determine eligibility."
So hypothetically, a sole trader occupying a container on a farm (and using concrete pads etc), whilst paying a (maybe informal) rent to the farmer but not having anything to do with business rates etc, there is no option to get the container and usage rated leading to paying business rates (or not via rural relief) and therefore become eligible for the 10k loan?
Also; reading up on what business rates are actually for, so long as the tree man were just storing tools, chips and logs he wouldn't be eligible for it anyway? The grey area being processing firewood which could always be done away from the farm buildings.
Thanks,
Michael

I like to hope this technology will be up to speed in time for me to become old and inferm... it sure sounds like it would transform a retirement homes' entertainment.Augmented Reality .Will it destroy us or set us free? When will it be better than reality? Is it reasonable to say that it is only a matter of time before it is better than reality?
Cant be assed researching it but think I know enough to give it a bash and welcome others views and opinions on something that is very real and a present danger in my eyes.
Imagine having any conversation with a person but they are present in the room to chat to instead of by text email or phone, they could be there with you ,or for them you with them.
Having a party ? then you can have any entertainer or band you like playing live in your front room, from the past or present. Even pack the place out with fake guests.
If you want naked women walking around your house its going to be possible, I believe porn will control mankind with what`s possible. Instead of watching porn on a screen you will just have to put on your special glasses and bang any porn star you want or scene played out in front of you on your own bed.
You could invite friends over for a chat ,even play darts and drink together in a digital pub, its all possible whilst walking around your own pad talking to yourself but really feeling like in the pub with ya mates who are also at home walking around like zombies chatting to themselves.
Need advise on a tree from a mate and with the tech the guy can be there with you, is going to be possible.
For education it will end the expensive need for schools as a teacher can be present in the home. Same for Uni and colleges.
Learn to cook with a top chef next to you.
There`s loads of amazing ways it will change the world.
I have guessed half this stuff above but I am sure with my limited knowledge of tech its still highly possible and likely to happen, and what with 5G its definitely making it easier to happen. BigJ`s thread about vehicles and road investment ect got me thinking this n that n I believe the future is us all staying at home as much as possible as reality will suck compared to what Virtual and Augmented Reality will bring.
I believe we will turn into hermits , food delivered and parcels by drone...We will be too busy masturbating and living a fake reality to be driving anywhere or caring what is anywhere.
I can see it being something that we will all want and it will be a must have, but it will also destroy us , we will become hermits and want to live in pods in a city and never give a shit about anything ever again other than work and getting home to our Augmented world...Is it self induced slavery?
However if you take it to the next level of having your body sustained by automated machine while your brain roams free its got overtones of the film 'the matrix'.

Good to know, thanks. It beats using mspaint to freehand houses and gardens!I have also been told similar, but if you read the google maps terms and conditions you can use them in reports. You have to reference them. -
Its to do with copyright i think. I was told to stop using copy/pasted google maps and also the councils own mapping system and drawing my tree locations over the top for this reason.

Hello. I'm after a subby ticketed climber for odd days here and there, never anything horrible, experienced ground crew.
Between Bury St Eds and Sudbury.
Last time I advertised for groundies a bunch of climbers got in touch, I wrote details down but I've lost the bit of paper so please get in touch even if we've spoken before.
Please get in touch on 07817940659

Hello,
I’m looking for someone to help me on Thursdays and Fridays with potential irregular Wednesdays if it suits all involved. No flex in those two days unfortunately as its set around child care and a part time working wife.
Based in Suffolk between Bury St Edmunds and Sudbury. My work area tends to be the Bury/Stowmarket/Sudbury area.
I do domestic tree work with a bit of hedge cutting. No commercial stuff. Tickets are nice but not essential; more important to me is reliability and the ability to work together with me to get the job done in an efficient and high quality manor.
Payment based on experience and ability. I think I pay at the top end.
Please ring 07925853973 or text 07817940659 or email [email protected]
Thanks,
Michael
