  1. Hey guys bit of a long shot but does anyone have any empty herbicide bottles for a project I’m doing.  So far I have about 9 brands of glyphosate. I’m looking some Kerb Flo all sizes of bottles Gem or Propyz

Anything would be grate and I’m willing to pay postage.

    Cheers guys

  2. Hi Guys,

im looking at having 500m of deer fence done on a flat restock site. Iv had 2 contractors give me prices one was astronomical and the other was way lower.

can anyone let me know what going rates are for following please.

500m of deer fence top and bottom rylocks

    (price per metre)

price for putting in strainers and turners

and price for hanging a steel entry gate.

Will the trees have to be tuned/spiraled and staked when planted?
Trying to think but years ago u never mounded tubed and staked trees

Trees just planted and left as Is. Good thoughts on the 3/4 soft wood plants though. Ideally I’d like a day at it to see what I could get in

  4. This is a foot in the door for me job. It’s a massive site with a 3/5 year contract for work in all there’s only 3000 hand mounds to be done which in the grand scheme of things probably worth the hassle for long term benefits. Just trying to devise a fair price which isn’t gonna cost me

  5. Do trees not grow anymore if not on a mound?? [emoji3]
I wouldn't imagine the vegetation is going to grow that quickly to out grow the trees looking at photos, looks fairly high exposed poor ground.

Is there a spec for the size of the mound??

Think I'd either stay well clear or stick a mega high price in, I'd be putting in a price to include Argo/transport.
Bugger walking up steep hills just to get to job site, getting to old for that. [emoji6]
Worked a few cutting sites where I hired my Argo to boss far more civilised with squads of men and long walks esp with all gear ( saws, petrol, tirfor etc) and the time saved walking in and being fresh on site, covers Argo hire

Well given the ground I’d have thought least they could do was let us screef it but apparently has to be mounds.

We have an Argo and an access ride above, below and across area needing done.

Size of mounds roughly an a4 sheet of paper size would probably do.

Really struggling to come up with a price I was thinking anywhere between £0.70-£1.20

But that’s a stab in the dark
  6. Sounds like you need someone to run the machine, keep your hands free for 2 [emoji6] [emoji23] Why do they want it hand mounded?

It’s pretty rocky a machine wouldn’t get anywhere near. The section needing done is on the planting plan so I’m guessing it’s gonna need something in it for grant purposes. Personally I’d screef it plant the trees then look at potentially chemical weeding next year but I’m only paid from the neck to the deck so my opinion doesn’t count [emoji23][emoji23]
  7. Just a quick question to see if anyone knows how much it would be to hand mound. I can remember doing it back in the early 2000s and I’m pretty sure it was 50p per mound........... does anyone know if this is still the case?
