  1. Slim Reaper - thanks for the details. I was struggling without the birds eye view bit. Unfortunately I can't get a picture but I'm not keen on taking something without asking first anyway They can always say no which is fair enough. I have posted in the firewood forum as I'm also willing to buy roundwood to process myself.
  2. I thought I may get some advice regarding just taking them ha! It did cross my mind. To be fair - they aren't cut and stacked ready for seasoning etc - they look like the bits they couldn't sell on and rather than take them and try process them they've just left it all on the ground. I'm pretty sure that I've seen someone up there chopping and filling their car. I can't be discreet with a chainsaw though.
  3. I have the postcode (from Google Maps) but it seems to state a property some distance away. Will keep checking. Thanks
  4. Hi, Just wondering if anyone can tell me the best way to find out who owns a piece of land? Said piece of land has had all it's trees felled a number of years ago but there are still large pieces left behind. I'd like to collect some but I'd like to ask permission first. I assume it's council land but unsure. Any help much appreciated. D
  5. Hi guys, I've been lurking around here reading up on all the information - it's been very helpful. Hopefully I'm not a little late but I'm looking for some unprocessed+unseasoned wood for seasoning over the next year(s). Hardwood would be great but not essential. I'm based in Manchester; it'd be great for it to be delivered but if not I could hire a van or something depending on the amount + cost. Cheers Edit - I think it would useful to state how much I want...Looking at a stacked 3 or 4 m3 once split.
