Ive had my saw for 2 years and am thinking its time to change the fuel filter anyway - i cant find the part number in the manual! can anybody tell me the part number for the fuel filter for an MS 171 please? thanks

Ive done a quick google and it seems that for a compatible sprocket it will be: Oregon 544676X 1/4" spur sprocket and the appropriate chain is Oregon 91VXL034E rapid 3/8 lo pro .050 34 drive links.

That looks great, id love to have it off you - but id need to find the right chain and sprocket to fit my MS171

The sugi sounds great, but is too dear unfortunately The 10" bar sounds like a good compromise:)

Well - the current tally stands at: - Chainsaw at 4ft: 1 vote - Chainsaw from ground level: 5 votes - Lay it: 6 votes Considering the budget wont permit laying it, perhaps there is a hedge laying competition that would like to have a go?

to update this thread for those who may need to know in the future: Pfanner apparently can make custom trousers in that size but require a 16 week time period (type A, class 1) And Arbortec sell trousers up to 5xl which they say on their website can accommodate up to 54" (type c, class 2) the price was basically the same

I agree in some respects, but the rating is just one factor when purchasing this type of thing. Others include: the quality of the fabrics/stitching, if they give a warranty against defects, if they have been designed for comfortable all-day usage, etc etc.

I appreciate the link but i foresee two issues: 1) their size guide suggests that 3xl is equivalent to 52-54" which would be quite tight on him and that would restrict movement/be uncomfortable 2) He wants his trousers/chaps from a reputable brand considering it is meant to save his leg from getting cut off

I did - and then I called them. That is an old article and they dont stock the larger sizes any more apparently

A buddy of mine needs to get some large chainsaw trousers or chaps in 54-56" waist Can you guys recommend a place that would sell/make trousers of this size? thanks
