Hi everyone,
So I want to get a bit cut off the tipper on my 2015 transit and a tool cab installed. I'm sick to death of loading and unloading the thing every single day.
Anyone know of any good companies? I would also consider having a lighter back installed. On the weighbridge the other day it was 2740 empty with no kit and a driver [emoji15]
ML Engineering, he’s up in Holden hill-

That's a bit too warm for me! Where in the world are you Alex?
Sydney, it’s perfect working weather to be honest, anything up to mid thirties is okay but over that and up into the forties is pretty challenging. It’s a different kinda heat than back there-

I came over to Oz 18 months ago and was wearing the sip canopy air, but soon got into the clogger zeros and never looked back since, light, comfy and very breathable. I’m surprised that there are no suppliers over in the uk that can get any.

Nah, it's Ted easyliftguy, always good for a natter if I could get through to him.
Can you send him a pm on here or I can get him to try and call you again [emoji6] -

I also have a Mazda BT-50, it is my daily drive and carries most of my equipment. I do a bit of contract climbing and work on an electricity vegetation management gig. There is not much storage boxes on the Unimog yet so it’s easy for someone to drive out in the Mazda otherwise if I am working on my own I just throw some gear in the back of the truck or the chipper tray.
Hi Ben you in NSW ? If so where-

That would be why then . Has " Woodslap Twatts " dissolved now ?
Nah it’s still going but he lost WhatsApp on his Nokia as the phone don’t have it anymore so uses a different app -
Messaged him on the wattsapp but no reply . Sorry .
He’s not been on here for a few years and doesn’t have WhatsApp anymore either -
I run a market garden and I am constantly in need of woodchip for our pathways. Are there any tree surgeons or tree surgery companies that would be happy to tip some woody (not green material, please) woodchip at our site in Pinhoe, at transport costs?
Try speaking to Max Bayles professional tree care. -
Awesome, Grey. That merlo is just something else and the time that kit saves on a job must be unreal. Love it [emoji7]

So where are you then, I lived in Plymouth for 16yrs before we emigrated last October

Yeah those rds in the summer are a nightmare all the lanes through to Torquay, Paignton, Brixham,Dartmouth etc trying to get past all the campsites with people walking on both sides of the rd, those were the day’s [emoji57]
-
Not as far as that we all used to fill up at Clemos garage on the main rd into Newton Abbot which was about 5 minutes away

ps the trick is not to reverse...drive a bigger truck and tough it out Mind you I met a grain artic near Ipplepen once, I was in a unimog, blue rinse in a Micra between us had a melt down...I had to get out and back her car up for her..."you shouldn't bring those down here!" well he's collecting the harvest love, and I'm doing some sawmilling for the farm. maybe you should stick to the main roads?
Ahh yes the lanes around ipplepen I used to work for a firm thee many years ago DTS , between 7:30&7:45 there would be a big convoy of us all piling out the yard through them lane’s we weren’t liked but the locals or the people that used it to cut through to the A38, lot’s of protesters in there 4x4s[emoji849] -
Is that the bridge & opera house area to the left in background? Worked out that way once. Climbing team of NZ, Aussies & us Scots...mental laughter days & nights. Top shelf craic.
Yeah it is , Sydney’s harbour bridge, as you drive over it the opera house I just below you.-

Today was 21c and pretty cold, but dry so I ain’t complaining. But it’s down to around 18-22c at the moment. Different to the winters I’m used to-

Two days in and wondering why I never bought one thirty years ago, aside of the obvious its so much easier looking through drawings and specs on a desk rather than a car bonnet. The lads will be fighting over this, I can feel another unit coming on

Is it blue yet Bob -
I was with arbor risk for many years, for public liability, employees liability, chipper cover at home , travelling and work site, tool cover also. I only ever had to make one claim and they were brilliant, very quick turnaround.
