You always use a backhandle 201 in a tree?

It depends; I prefer a lighter saw over power when climbing. As long as 14" is enough, I use the 201 or 241.

For the last three chunks of this pine (not in video) I used my 362 :D

The first top in the video brought back memories .
There was one time pushing and guiding a top over , my glove got caught and i was lucky the gloved ripped but at the time i thought my arm was gone.
The glove was worn and had holes in it.

    Once again , a very good video.emoji106.png

Hmmm, yet another detail to be aware of when the next top goes.

    Glad you liked the video!

  3. Used spider leg rigging and speedline on this medum pine last autumn.

The homeowner worked on the ground clearing some branches when I sent the first down the speedline. Even though I asked "Ready?" and thumbs up, there was some kind of misunderstanding. Fortunately, he was not injured!

Good communication with your groundsmen is vital!

  4. By not rigging-people on here will think less of you and a general opinion will be formed that you are a big gay.

Rigging big limbs makes you a big hairy arsed man just like us...

Im joking off coarse, that was not at all gay but a very good watch indeed thank you my good hairy arsed man

Really? Was that a joke?? Hah hah

    Thanks!

  5. Steve: Yes, two wire core fliplines.

Mick & Starscream: Yeah, I love the T536. It's my only top handle saw, when I need a bigger in the tree, I use the MS362.

We used almost 2 days on that ash, and 4 batteries.

  6. A big ash separating into 5 leaning over a summerhouse. Ideal for using a crane if it hadn't been for the location; an island where no cars are allowed.

Helicopter was too expensive, so a number of tequnices had to be used to bring her down safely.

    Enjoy in HD. Thanks!

  7. Ferguson & Rich: I guess it was Ekorn trepleie?

Company run by highly skilled Englishmen. I've had some contact with them previously. They finalized the big oak shown as the first tree in the video, as I had to stop half-way because I found a birds nest full of hatchlings and I was going on holidays the next week.

Climb safe and take good care of the animals :001_smile:
