  2. Hi all , I found this item on eBay, from mdl power up ….  It’s a 37 tonne log splitter, with log lift.  Showing only demo use.  Cost of £2900.00 all in bargain (not).    First day today ….   It’s throwing out hydraulic oil from the RAM valve block. Got out the fitter today to come to repair it. My own independent fitter to find out that somebody had previously tried to do a repair on it, it requires a complete strip down and new seals fitting. Secondly, the hydraulic log lift table only stands for around 12 seconds before lowering iitself automatically i.e. it just loses the hydraulic lift. Thirdly on inspection all welds on  H crossmember has cracked further into our investigations. We’ve tested the pressure of this machine and it is only pushing 24 ton not the 37 ton as advertised. Spoke to MDL and not in very good succession from them. Where do I go from here?    The paper work that came with in says no warranty….  I wasn’t aware of this ….    It appears it’s been put through the hardest demo or other….    How do I stand with my purchase….   !!!

  4. Fr. jones…. For several years I ordered stock from. Several different companies in the Arb/ tree surgery profession…  we are so busy with work we / just tend to Google stock ordering..  the company that has let us down more is , fr. jones… a complete waist of time, I want something.. I want it… I’m not ordering for 6 months times.. if they have the item in stock.. I we require that.. I’ll buy it…. & it will be delivered in 2 days.. lovely….   What a load of rubbish with fr. jones… complete waist of time….   They have no stock, but take your money.. expect a delivery in 2 days..  chase the delivery after 5 .. deliver in 6-8 months….

  8. Im sorry Mr garden kit,,  but i, and Many others may disagree with that statement,,,

You go buy a new £1000.00 saw or any other cost,, give to me brand new in the box,, let me fuel it, then once its fired!!!! im going to put on full revs / flat out for 30 seconds. turn it off & then give it you,, and take your money.....   No oil test / brake test or what ever...!

Would be happy with that...!   But Seddons plant (stihl) dealers find this exceptable...  & now its fucked i have to wait for the repair...

If Only i new a way to EXploit seddon plant...!  whooooo if only
