  1. Thanks Alec. The bore is 58mm checked it today so I suppose I must rule out the 051 What's the difference between 075 and 076 then?
  2. Hi Wondering if anyone can help have purchased a vintage stihl which we were told was possibly 051 but there is no identification on the saw, but I have a strong feeling it is an 075 because 1, There is a bolt screwed in under the front handle by the oil cap which I believe could be a manual oil primer 2,at back of saw by the spark plug ( on right) there is a threaded hole which in 075 is a decompression button and I think is missing 3, the piston cylinder head has the bolts straight though it to hold in place rather than just at base Is anyone able to help out in identifying it. I have contacted stihl with serial number on crank case but not heard back yet I have attached some pics if any help Thank you
