I am an American and own a small, two bedroom house in the Abruzzo Region of central Italy. Two trees, approximately 18" in diamete, were cut down directly in front of my house at a height of about 5 foot or so. The trees are on a hill and help to hold the ground in place so it was best not to take out the stumps. I am looking for someone who is willing to come to my house and put their artistic skills to work. A couple of classic figures (? bear, squirrel, owl ?) would be fine; nothing elaborate or too large (? 18" in height ?). You can be creative and I am sure that we can find a mutually-agreed-upon designs. The trees are directly in front of the house and I will be looking at the carvings all day long so it is important to me that they look kinda nice. In return for your work, in lieu of payment, I am offering a weeks stay in the house for you and up to three other people.
