Why are the prices of these things such a closely guarded secret?
Dealers could at least advertise an RRP, it wouldn't kill them.
@Blake@waveney and @Kipper Hire Ltd, what are we looking at ballpark for the smallest Worky Quad with some kind of grab?
Can they be driven up ramps into a truck bed, or do you need a separate trailer?
No secrets here, if you're interested send me over an email address and i'll happily send over a full retail pricelist.
Retail on the most basic Worky Quad which is the SSQ11 Country is £11,340+VAT, worth noting once you've spec'd it up to have some extra counterweights you're getting close to 12k. The narrow access grapple bucket retails at £1,155+VAT.Nothing stopping you driving it up ramps into a truck bed, only limiting factors would be space and weight, as even the smallest machine without counterweights or an attachment is 575kg.

Craig

Exactly how much interest has Mark Schaefer of Spectrum got in Kipper Hire? Spectrum (and good luck to them) import the loaders, fire wood processors and grinders that are your sole inputs into this forum?
Hi Pete,
Kipper Hire are a sister company of Spectrum, all the kit they import into the UK we import into Scotland for them, so rather than them have to manage a dealer network up here we do that for them.

Another vote for the Cast Worky Quads - well worth a look.

Awesome grinder that punches well above its weight, build quality is also fantastic. Best grinder in its class imo - would highly recommend getting a demo. Cheers, Craig.

Balfor do a range of petrol road towable splitters from 13-22 ton. - http://www.balfor-firewood.com/pro-range-vertical/
As above all new splitters have to have 2 handed operation for health & safety reasons.

We've got an FSI D30-tracked. 30hp Kubota engine on it - great bit of kit and only 775mm (2"5.5') wide with the tracks in.

It's worth having a look at the Balfor splitters, quality machines. They have 16 & 19 ton vertical splitters both available with 1 ton winches.
Opico Skidster or sherpa mini loaders

No worries Mark, I've just sent that over now so should be in your inbox.
It's certainly been the most popular with our hire customers who are predominately Arb guys as it's works well on both timber and brash. The 74cm bucket is built to keep the machine width down if you've gone for the narrow access tyres but if you go for bigger tyres it might be worth going for the 85cm or 100cm bucket.
