  1. I’m sure the fumes from any fuel aren’t good for you if your that bothered wear a respirator. There other factors to consider too like where to buy it. What happens on a Sunday when you run out and you have more stuff to do are you going to stop immediately and wait or even on a Saturday after 12 pm most place by me you can even get decent chain oil on the weekend because everywhere is shut. If it was cheaper and you could buy it from Petrol stations I’d consider it. But as that’s not the case and I don’t really buy into the fumes being better for you it’s a none starter for me. £20.18 per 5 litres is somebody’s idea of a joke I’m afraid
  2. Yeah I’ll buy some more Stihl files
  3. um hand filling is a bit hit and miss
  4. Yeah I just struggled sharpening chains thought that might be the answer what else make sharpening hassle free
  5. The problem with these fuels is that why would you pay 4 times the price if you pay £20.18 per gallon which is what I was quoted. In 5 years time you’ve bought a new saw anyway. Or I’m I totally missing the point ?
  6. How much do you want for the 038 Lol is it a magnum
  7. Hi chaps has anyone got or used the 12v granberg chain grinder ? If you is it just junk or is it a decent worthwhile peace of kit ? Cheers boys
  8. Sound like good advice boys I’m dying to get stuck in with i I’m struggling with an old 038 Lol cheers chaps
  9. Yeah the place where I’m buying it say just used as normal but they just work in a tractor dealer. So just use it like normal is the general consensus
  10. obviously but its probably going to hammered hard through beech and oak so if I need to baby it for a bit I’d like to know
  11. Straight out of the box lol .
  12. Hi chaps I pic my new ms 461 tomorrow. Having only had old or used Stihl’s before I was wondering if there is a run in period for example how may tanks can will it take before I can give i the beans any input much appreciated
  13. Iv been buying super tack bio from Clarkforest in 10lt drums of a while now but I'm not sure it any good it seems to go really thick if you leave it in the saw for a week without running it. Has anyone else experience this if so what its the best bar oil full stop
  14. Don't know just know the one I had was junk just like there version of the paslode first fix nail gun
  15. Don't buy makita they are garbage. I blew mine up in a week. They don't like running all day apparently Its just couldn't handle carving. I know your not carving but I bought it just to dip my toe into the world of chainsaws stihl will see you right my 038 farm boss is older than me and still runs nicely
