Arboricultural climber

Treefellers Ltd are tree contractors working on a variety of domestic, commercial and local authority contracts throughout the North West of England and North Wales from our Cheshire base. As an experienced arboricultural climber, you will be expected to perform arboricultural duties to the highest standards, whilst having a proactive approach to assisting the management of health and safety at all times. You will be required to work Monday to Friday between 7.30am and 4.30pm. Weekend works and overtime or rotational emergency call out cover may also be available.
We are looking for applicants who are able to meet the following criteria:
Qualifications
Hold as a minimum the following NPTC units: CS30, CS31, CS38, CS39 (or equivalent)
Full UK driving licence (Category B+E would be an advantage)
Skills & Experience
Are experienced in working as an arboricultural climber in a variety of situations and to be competent in a variety of climbing and dismantling operations, felling and pruning techniques to the current BS3998 standard
The ability to use and undertake basic maintenance of a variety of different arboricultural machinery and ideally have considerable towing experience.
To be able to communicate effectively with clients and other team members
Knowledge
Have a sound understanding of current best practices in arboriculture, the current BS3998 standard and relevant health and safety and environmental legislation including TPOs/Conservation Areas/SSSIs, protected species and nesting birds
Personal attributes
To be physically fit with a head for heights and to be happy to work outdoors in all weather conditions
To be reliable, trustworthy and have a sense of individual responsibility
To work well as part of team and individually
To be self-motivated and hard working by nature
