  1. after putting the saw all back together i cannot get it to fire it has new carb, bearings ,gaskets and fuel lines ,but it does want to go as it fires but only a couple of cycles of the piston very strange
  2. Hi spud i have the off and cleaned it so piston will be the next thing any idea what sort of reading i should get on my compressin tester spud
  3. Should there be alot of air bubbles coming from carb to the purge bulb ?

  5. I have one of the saws all back together but it will not start i have got a good spark and compression is about 150psi after 5 pulls of the pull cord but there is a very strong smell of petrol after the 5 pulls i also have the choke out at the same time but still a non starter ? Confused

  10. ADW do you know what the carb factory settings are for the 240e ? or as a rule do screw them all the wat in then back them off 1 and a half turns ? thanks again everybody for your help i aprechate it massively
  11. good morning Gentlemen would any of you know what the factory carb setting are for a McCulloch mac 7-42 ?
  12. still awaiting parts to arrive. also would anyone know where i can get hold of a chainbrake handle for the husky 240e in the uk ?
  13. Thank yo very much for your advice after checking all of the cheap parts to check i have completely striped down the chainsaw and found a lot of wear on the crankshaft seals so will order a new set and then see how it runs and ill keep you posted Thanks again
