Hi Guys We are looking to go vat registered and currently looking at the flat rate scheme vs the standard rate. I just wanted your opinions and maybe to share your experiences of the 2 schemes. We are predominantly a landscaping company so we buy lots of materials and so could reclaim the vat on the standard rate but not on the flat rate, so we're not sure which scheme suits us best. Also, is it true that we can reclaim the vat back on purchases (assets) going back 4 years and does that apply to both schemes? Many thanks

Well it goes to show that you should not jump to conclusions. 😜 I have 5 members of staff which will be on payroll. I'm interested to hear from people who use a payroll software and if they have any recommendations.
