  1. I have been asked by a customer to erect a 4ft post and rail fence around a large mature Black Poplar to act as protection from the public. I am aware that Black Poplars are protected. Are there any restrictions on what can and can't be done close to these trees? The fence would be 2.5 to 3 metres from the Base of the tree. Is there any possibility of harm to the tree and or the root system. I don't want to do more harm than good. Any input would be gratefully received.
  2. Based near Sudbury, Suffolk I'm looking to fill any spare days that I may have. My field of work includes Fencing, Paving, Horticultural woodwork etc. I also supply labour to trades and agriculture. I have a flexible approach to working, I'm available for one off jobs, ongoing work and anything inbetween. Available equipment includes: CS30 Saw and PPE.
