    Thanks for taking a few minutes to answer my question. Those books are in my list but at the moment I am counting my pennies. I am using the fungi directory here and the app as well. I have the Lantra workbook and I found some Forestry commission's Pdf. Any other resources would be of much help until I can invest in some serious books and any help finding anything would be much appreciated. Cheers!

    Yes, it's Sorbus aria. My guess was Inonotus hispidus as well.. Many thanks for confirming it.
