  1. I'm trained as a carpenter

     

    Sanding the floor isn't hard just time consuming, I would hire a floor sander and always work diagonally across the floor, you will also need a smaller egde sander or if you have a orbital sander that will work fine for the edges

     

    I'd look at starting with 60 or 80 grit and work through to 180.

     

    Once you have sanded it give the floor a good Hoover and then you've got the choice what varnish you use

    I'm booked to do my cs38 in the new year and just getting my climbjng kit together.

     

    I will be going for a Yale XTC 13mm rope and a 13mm marlow split tail for a lanyard.

     

    But I need some advice on what friction cord is suitable for both any advice would be great.

    I always shop around for the best prices and most times you can buy it cheaper away from ebay.

     

    Ebay are only worried about making money and they don't care if it's stolen goods just as long as it sells and they get their money

    I hold a cs30/31 and have PPE. Hard working and flexible with regards to working hours, I'm willing to travel reasonable distance depending on wage
