What do you want for them mate?
Do they come up big or small?

I'm usually a size 10 or Euro size 44 but the dealer advised a 9-1/2 or Euro 43 as the Andrews are a big fit.

make me a realistic offer. they are basically brand new. I'm a size 10.5 or 11. these seemed about right but the shape of my feet is a bit odd so they rubbed a bit

  2. Well its definitely either the bar or chain, it does exactly the same thing on the other 550 we have with is running great with a 15" narrow kerf sugi-hara bar too. So they're going back to oregon.

The 550 itself is a whole other issue now!

If you havent sorted this yet check the chain isn't rubbing against the thin metal plate that covers oiler etc. Mine did this with same symptoms as you describe. New plate, job done. Took me a while to figure it out
  3. Finally bit the bullet and used it for the first time today.

    Well, first time climbing....

    Fantastic little saw.

BUT - it's an absolute bastard to start.

    Any advice appreciated.

Mines fine from cold but needs a bit of throttle to start when warm. My 2510 was the same. Doesn't bother me too much now I've got the hang of it but would be interested to know if it's curable.

  4. If there's another sycamore near the tree you're eco plugging then I'd be a bit concerned but other than that I see no problem with it just don't over do it :)

I'm not quite sure I follow you, why would you be concerned about another sycamore? I am more concerned about fish etc. Am I missing something?

  5. I may be wrong but I think at this time of year, the sap rising from the stump pushes the glyphosate out of the stump and it can run down the bark and kill the vegetation around the stump or drip into a water course. Hopefully there will be someone who knows more than i

I was thinking this too. It's not as effective when sap rising too and sycamore can be a pig to kill off at times. If I use this method I will leave the stump high then come back in autumn to cut the rest down and ecoplug it then

  6. Hi all need some advice please. I have been asked to quote for removal of a sycamore growing out of the bank of a water course. Grinding is not an option because of access and also I would end up grinding out the whole bank (very narrow) which is used as a path. My question is how safe are eco plugs to use this close to the water? What is the recomended guidance on this? Thanks1488969828470.jpg.4a55df5ccc8e7aee28c8bd3b82a62378.jpg

  7. Why is this Joe ?

I would of thought the more rope in the system and wider angles that the rope is running through and additional blocks or redirects used would only reduce the forces at the main rigging point

I think he means the direction of force is potentially more risky ie. pulling anchor point sideways rather than down (inline with stem)?

  8. There is loads of info in previous threads (search mini loader, avant, multione, skid steer etc)

Whilst you've got the "loaner", have a think about tyre pattern - where will you most use the machine mud, lawn, hard surface.

Has the loaner got back weights fitted - this may give a false impression of lift capacity if you get one with out.

How are you transporting? Trailer tail ramp may need to be 6' rather than 4' due to approach angle.

How far is the dealership from your main operating base?

Single most important piece of advice -

Contact MultiOne for a demo before committing to anything! MultiOne will outperform Avant across the entire range.

In what way will multione outperform avant?
