Hi I am looking for a potential career change to be a Arborist I guess, need to know a bit more about it. I am 35 kept myself fit, like the idea of getting off computer and doing something outdoors. I am as my reply sounds a complete newbie, any advice, ideas, greatly appreciated.

Hi I have been working as a draughtsman and measured building surveyor for over a decade and looking for a career change. I am used to travelling and some outdoor work. I like the idea of working outdoors with trees and would like to ask if anyone would be wiling to give me say a days experience so I can see if it is for me. Plus if anyone has any advice about how to get into the profession, what's the best route etc. I am 35, have stayed fit just looking for an opportunity, I work hard.
