Just working away, 6 cube out today so far. Roll on cooler weather.

Got one running 15" bar great for snedding, great saw
-
Just going to Jim Watt Caledonia open day
-
And the screw doesn't?
Screw can lift split wood and some bigger bits of whole fire wood but the jaws of doom can lift whole trunks if necessary. Both still follow grain to split, the jaws have advantage of crushing through knots.

saw a cone splitter at RTS yard was buzzing away on a piece of beech and only generating smoke suspect it might have caught fire in the end. Campmuir have a set of woodcracker jaws seemed to be quite good
Wood cracker jaws are good, here at Campmuir logs they are on a13 ton excavator. Had a demo of the screw which was ok and left as much debris as the wood cracker. Just kept wood cracker which has advantage of lifting and moving fire wood about if necessary.

When our nightlambing assistant failed to show, the excuse was that timmy her rabbit was depressed.A couple of nights later she returned saying he had been given a bath and was now feeling much better, which was a great relief to us all.
now that is a lame excuse

Not with Tesco lol

Hello logs there's a wildlife cam at our yard now , sorry other than being black and strapped to the tree , that's all I know about it. There's a mad bottle smasher busting bottles in the gate way that needs to be sorted out. Take it your thief was after logs and nothing else.
-
Orders are comming in still so happy. Trade is good though heating oil price has had an effect. Get couple of days off then back in to the grind.

Sales have really picked up. Great, though after novembers soaking and complaints of wet would, now had complaints of wood to dry. The first question is it seasoned, followed by how much, then complain its burning to quick. Lol how do you win lol.

takes out loose bark and bits up to , around 1". Just really all the small rubbish.
-
yup worth investing in something if you want to seperate out smaller bits/bark/soil and debri. Still get some smaller residue in logs as they get pushed about by the loader. Nothing like as much as there was pre roller. Has reduced the complaints about small bits and stoor when logs delivered.

Anyone use one of those log tumbler cleaners to separate the debris?
Yup our logs go through a tumbler, suprising how much dedris gets knocked out. Sell the waste to a farmer with a big boiler. Wouldn't be without it now.
Hows the log sales going now
