  1. thanks for that i have adjusted the screw at full throttle and it doesn't seem to make much difference i have also cleaned the carb many times with carb cleaner and it hasn't made any difference it seems to stop hunting after a good 10 mins of running so it may be a sticky governor or something
  2. I have a Briggs and Stratton quantum engine that hunts at full throttle I have cleaned the carb and adjusted everything however the problem still occurs Also there is a squealing noise from the driveshaft gearbox Thanks

I have a B&S Quantum from 1994 and it starts and runs fine however it seems to hunt slightly at full throttle i have cleaned the carb and replaced seals etc and have also tuned it properly but it still hunts a bit. Also it has a drive shaft coming out the side for a self propelled lawnmower and every time the self propelled mechanism is engaged it makes a loud ish squealing noise. It is definitely coming from the engine and not the self propelled mechanism however its only when load is applied. i would appreciate help thanks:001_smile:
