  1. I am currently in the process of leaving the Army after being injured in Afghanistan, my injuries do not restrict me at all regarding work, I am moving into a career in Tree Surgery, by the end of June I will have the following qualifications, gained from a very reputable company; Kingswood Training Services. NPTC Unit CS30 – Chainsaw Maintenance and Crosscutting NPTC Unit CS31 – Felling Trees up to 380mm diameter NPTC Unit CS38 – Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue NPTC Unit CS39 – Using a Chainsaw from a Rope and Harness LANTRA Cert. – Use of Woodchippers LANTRA Cert. – Use of Stumpgrinders LANTRA Cert. – Business Studies for Tree Surgeons So I was looking for advice from people in the North West, I live in the Greater Manchester area, on, if my qualifications and record in the military, would give me a good start in this new career? And also where to look for employment? I am leaving the Army ranked as a Cpl, very fit and strong even with my injuries, also I have an Exemplary Military Record and testimonial that reflects that. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated...! Andrew Geelan.

If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
