Just found out this afternoon that a number of vans have been broken into over the last few days in the cockermouth area of Cumbria. Seem to be manly builders vans, with 3 in the village I live in being done.

We're getting 15 p per tree. Does that sound ok?
Most I’ve ever been paid is 12p a tree on mounds. Most I have ever got in was 2000 a day but found 1500 was achievable every day. -
Any body running or know of a first aid +f day course being done any time some in Northumberland or Cumbria??
Cheers

My potatoes are just coming into flower. (fingers crossed no frost now)
I've got about 30 acres of cabbages amongst lots of other stuff too.

Sound like you got your potatoes in at just the right time as we planted our earlies about a month ago and they were doing fine about 8 inches out of the ground and had been earthed up lightly a couple of times but they got caught by the frost in chilly Essex this weekend just gone and are looking seriously wilted and blackened Oh well onwards and upwards our tomatoe and cucumber plants are doing well as are our runner bean plants these are inside a greenhouse happy planting and cheers from Essexlogman
Yeah I nearly put every thing about a month back but the farther in law stopped me. All trail and error for a year or so, hoping to get into competition growing in a year or so once I have more idea what am doing.

Hello
Yes we have quite a large pottage, got potatoes coming up, onions, celeriac & just planted some cauliflowers. Everythings bit ahead being further south & also had several self seeded tomato plants after we spread the compost heap.

I'd like something to take to pieces and be usable when I put it back together. I was only kidding but if it's a reasonable idea I would go for it.
Will have a look see whats laid about in death row,

Any keen gardeners among us? Just got the last of my tatties in today, every thing else went in on Monday. Biggest job now is keeping next doors cat out of it now!

I got a pair of the new husky boots, the ones with orange tops, best boots I have had, paid about £180, on shelf there were tagged up at £240, my pretend heart attack got the price down abit.

I have recently started a new employed job after my first stint of self employment came to a crashing end. In 2012 I took out a big loan and jumped in balls deep with a tractor, timber trailer, firewood processor and a winch. 1 month after doing this it started to rain and didn't stop till what felt like 2013. Ended up having to sell all the gear making a loss on most of it due to not being vat reg, to try pay the loan back. I am now back to zero and only have a some van finance left. I was talking to a guy at the weekend who said my mistake was that I hadn't gonna ltd, when I asked what he ment he said if I had been ltd and I saw things were going bad I could of sold all the gear defaulted on the loan declared my self bank rupt and walked away with out having to pay any loan back and with them being able to take my house. Then start up again. I have heard of things like this going on before but I wondered its right or legal to this?

I had my van sign written up, "got wood?" Advertising my firewood sales. But best van I have seen was a scaffolders wagon. Northern erections, "every erection guaranteed"! Laughed all the way home that day.

I get a morning kick from a coffee machine in the local spar, I have found that when normal black coffee says the cup is full there still enough room for an extra shot of expresso to liven it up a bit.
