  1. Hi, would appreciate some help to identify this small white fungi growing on the branch bark ridge of a sycamore? I'm wondering whether or not this is an indicator of an underlying problem, or if it is fairly insignificant, as there do not appear to be any obvious signs of poor health throughout the rest of the tree. (apologies for the quality of the photo)
  2. Thanks for the swift response! Not sure if it helps but I've tried to enhance the detail of the first image...
  3. Hi, Please can anyone help confirm these fungi: Is this an old Inonotus hispidus on the trunk of an ash? And would this be Laetiporus sulphureus in a cavity at the base of an oak.
  4. Hi, Can anyone please help to identify the problem with this ash (on right)? Is this ash dieback? Or something else? Or is it simply turning early for autumn?
  5. Just spotted this delightful fungi on a willow. I think it could be Phellinus robustus??
  6. Thanks to everyone for the helpful suggestions. Will try to get back to this site and investigate further (i.e better photo and take a slice)
  7. Can anyone please help identify this fungus, found at the base of a mature ash. Im thinking it might be Ganoderma adspersum?
