  1. Britt, Dan Hargrave featured in this video…
  2. Thanks for posting Steve. Thanks guys. But who is Francis Ford Coppola? Just kidding : D
  3. True all above ^ 99% of mainstream music can be used without a total block but often music is restricted to also not play on certain mobile devices. Which can be very limiting to who can watch it since most people just have phones. Also, I have seen many times where YouTube says that a song is blocked in one country, for example, Germany, but then later I get messages from, Canada, UK, Ireland, etc., pretty much everywhere outside the USA, people saying it's blocked for them. Also, again, not that we care that much, but, just so you know, the fine print legality on using copyrighted music is that it's illegal without permission even though different artists and recording companies allow people to "steal" its use. If we ever got Trump Rich, then they probably would exercise their right to fine us. But for now they just put a link to Amazon or iTunes so that Joe consumer who hears the "stolen" version might go buy it.
  4. Thanks, yes looking for good royalty-free music takes many hours. To quote Elton, "It's like trying to drink whiskey from a bottle of wine."
  5. Haha, thanks, no trickery. 4 climbers. I actually broke my first GoPro today, no joke. Very bummed to have lost THAT shot. I have always been good at anticipating crush zones. If I wasn't, then I suppose I might not be qualified for the work really.
  6. The rules are simple, copyright music is not OK to use legally. . .Playing in the background or wired right into the foreground, it's illegal. Changing the speed or pitch of it, illegal, and also lame.
  7. Kevin McLeod. I have used. YouTube music I have used. Pond 5 is another one. Premium beat.com is another one. You can use most copyright mainstream music and it will be restricted by YouTube as per owner stipulation. But if push came to shove, you should know that it is illegal to use copyright music without permission. End of story. I have tried nearly everything. Some bands like Led Zeppelin. The vid will be completely blocked in every way. Stick to arranging royalty-free music wherever you can find it and then if it goes viral at least you can keep the proceeds. This one was royalty-free music and I thought it worked well…
  8. I loved the video and was impressed by how hard you guys must work. Just the two of you. Video had a great home sweet home feel of sincerity and quality product.
  9. LOL @ "Shonky" Never heard that one before.
  10. Thanks guys, I wouldn't say there was decay in it. It was just torn in half and sketchy looking. Luckily the speed line pulled it in a favorable way.
  11. Ohhhh, no thanks. Rope and snap is so much faster. I really don't understand why people fuss around with slings when they can just throw a rope around something and snap it on. It's not like I'm rigging the weight of the world or anything. I do use slings and carabiners for speed lining though.
