when your searching for something regarding a post just have a general search that searches all the categories instead of guessing which category it might be in and then search.
for instance when i am to search (pole saw) some people will have put that in chainsaws some utility some in general. hope that make sense. cheers

can't beat the service at chainsaw bars (rob)
-
the real difference is the blade i have both one is hardened steel (hayate) can't be sharpened but says sharp for alot long than the hayauchi i do alot of highway stuff where it is just light pruning so is used alot the blade on the hayate hasn't gone blunt in over a years worth of use i can't actually say how long it last because i accidentally snapped it in half and had to replace
the thing with my hayate is the weight i have the 7.7m version and is alot heavier than the hayauchi in fact when i now use the hayauchi it is like using a toy !!!!! i find the hayate a better saw for cutting even quite thick hard wood (it will cut 6 inch oak at a push but a chainsaw is much easier )
i find because the hayate is a longer saw when using it on the third extension (it has 4) which is the the simular height of the hayauchi fully extended , the hayate doesn't flex anywhere near as much as the hayauchi and makes it alot easier to use
as to the weight issue .........i got used to it
cheesy pete thats brilliant mate and thanks aswell rapalaman I'm definitely looking for the looper question is does the looper fit on the hayate? i know it does on the hayauchi.

I'm looking to buy either of the two which one do you feel is better the hayate is more money but from what i can see on the web i just don't see the difference apart from you can remove the sickle. i like to buy the best so if anyone can tell me there experience much appreciated.

Well that's a good story and outcome. Having something to prove can be a great motivator also. I too, left school with nothing at 15....but I've done alright as it turns out.
I think you have done extremely well. Thanks for your comments and be sure to subscribe to my YouTube. I have lots of vids in the pipeline..
Cheers

Same as the others said earlier.... clearly lots of enthusiasm and on your jobsite
So is it your business ? how did you get into treework ?
Yay. Cheers yes we all love our job we all didn't do well at school and we all got told we would do a craps jobs like pushing trolleys at Tesco. Then I worked with a forestry firm for a couple of weeks just as a boy. Then the guy there said go to college. I did, I met Jason my tutor who was patient with me but most importantly engaged me!
Tristan was on the course we became best friends and he is my full timer. Then met Rhys saw a lot of myself in him. (Kicked out of school, broken family etc) but gave him a chance and know he's got the Arb bug too and is soon doing his climbing tickets.
ATree thanks for your comment its my fav saw. I like it on a 30" bar overkill for a lot of things but so balanced.
Cheers H

I wonder if you can help me out I've just had a lucus swing lift fitted to my transit but I'm struggling with wood weights. I'm guessing that first bit of timber in the 2nd post down weights1.5t?
And then the smaller bit being lifted by the penny crane weights about 300kg. Am I close? Cheers
