Hello everyone in the colchester/Ipswich area. 07756811098
It struck me me that I have a lot of equipment that most other Arb companies don’t have because they feel that they don’t have the work to warrant buying it.
So when you get a job where there’s a long drag and you need an ARB TROLLEY call me!
So when you get a job with terrible access but the customer is happy to keep the chip and you need a GREENMECH CS 100 call me!
So when you have to extract loads of timber, dont want ring it up and you need a MULTIONE WITH A TIMBER GRAB call me!
So when you need to winch something out of somewhere and you need a POWER WINCH WITH A 200m PULL LINE call me!
Etc etc the list goes on and on I’m not going to list everything I own because it would boar you!
or when you just need anything that a general arb company has, truck, 6” chipper, rigging kit, 880 we have all that aswell because I know the feeling when something breaks, you need to finish the job and the local hire company looks at you like WTF when you say have you got a chainsaw with a 72” bar!
I think you get get the idea. I have most gear that most other people don’t have and if I don’t I know someone who has. I hire all my equipment out for the first time with a skilled and qualified operator if we feel your trustworthy the 2nd time you hire we will hire direct to you providing we have a deposit.
Feel free to give me me a call. The right bit of kit on the right job can make you life easier and your bank account richer!

Thoughts are hitting a wedge in with your hand while still cutting in the first few seconds isn't cool.
Filling your saw on the lawn in a no no, sharpen your saw the night before, not at the job. Big shotting a 30' back garden tree with branches from a few feet off the deck is comical.
Work site was untidy between the trees and the chipper, that would make me mad. Rigging down such a small tree is a bit Ott.
I reckon aunties and parents will say ' oh that's nice, very exciting ' but if you are wanting to be taken seriously for other companies to subbie you in then I think you need to get your skill levels up and not focus on the shiny stuff you have bought off Stein.
I liked the music though.
Stephen,
I think you have watched this video from the wrong angle.
We are not even remotely trying to get work from other companies. I am crazy busy and since this video have doubled the size of the buisness. (Must be doing something right)? Solidly booked into Feb
Totally agree with your comment about hitting the wedge with my hand it is potentially dangerous but we all do things we shouldn't really do from time to time. Fueling up on a lawn literally don't see an issue with that unless it's really great grass/golf course. Sharpening on site , rigging tiny bits, big shot etc all their just to show customers and Joe public some of the things we do they are often fascinated. We only had one day to film and that job happened to be the one on that day . We were trying to show a variety of things within the job. I've had such a good response from that video actually won alot work with it.
I do find it a shame that now proper arbtalk is going the same way as Facebook arbtalk which is just a bitch fest full of angry people. I used to enjoy the friendly brotherhood of arbtalk.
Anyway thanks to the people that have commented positively and constructively.

It's doing social media, website updates, light errands like taking equipment in for repair (petrol paid), invoicing clients, collating receipts for purchases and payments. No quoting, no chasing money (wife good at that!), standard daytime hours, nice home office to work from. Only answering phones if I'm unavailable but usually it all goes to my mobile. The guy I am considering is 29 with no arb quals or indeed any qualifications I don't think. But he is bright and capable and has a good manner with clients.

There is a power line and phone line on either side of the tree. Hard to see in the vid.

He did the first two cuts then got a stick in his eye, he was gutted and had to go a&e, just one of those unlucky things.

Great video, perfect for what you need it for.
Such a well placed shot at the end with the tree falling towards the camera! Did you measure out how far it was going to fall or was that just a lucky guess?
lucky guess:thumbup:

Nice bit of kit . Accurate fell right on the camera at the end !
cheers stubby. Theres a fine line between doing what I did and completely smashing my camera!

Nice video, thanks for sharing. Who was the ugly looking guy with the baseball cap on right at the very start?

I have a 2016 230 and i grease it every day 3-5 pumps per nipple on the central grease bank. I can't help but think thats too much. If i listen quietly i can hear the grease coming out like a squelch sound so i know I'm doing it enough. Also how often do people grease the sliders on the rollers the bit that moves up and down?
