Aspen you are so efficient its disgusting! Lol

Rangers are OK.
The leaf springs are known to break and I had to replace the glow plugs once in 160000 miles. Other than that it's a good tower and comfortable.
Both my navara d40s have had to have broken leaf springs replaced, both at about 80,000 ish too!!

Must be good if youve had 3!! Like ive said ive had a mitzi and apart from it being a bit of a screamer on the motorways it was a decent enough work vehicle, all i,m wanting is a cheap single cab to ferry my fishing gear about and saws and firewood, fairly comfortable to drive and simple to fix
-
The ranger is better on fuel by a whisker, off road much the same. The Ranger is not as busy under the bonnet and is easier to work on, the Mitzy is cheap on spares and there is a lot more kicking about in the way of second hand spares because of its affiliation with the Shogun.

Haha cheers bob, it really is gonna be "toss a coin" then isnt it?
-
Yeah forest tracks and fields is about as off road capable as i need
-
We run both, the Mitz is very carlike and comfy but a tad undergeared. The Ranger is a bit more trucklike and has a better engine. If its just you and your tools go for the L200 , if it needs to tow all day go with the Ranger.
Bob
Whats the best off road? Mpg? And simplicity to fix? Cheers
-
I dont think it,ll do much towing just me and gear to the woods and back, firewood and ferrying pots and nets to and from the boat
-
I had an old 52 plate l200 that was fine till it blew up at 155,000! See quite a lot of high mile rangers still going strong though!
-
The 2 ive been offered are round the £1500 mark and local to me so no travelling involved
-
True, what are rangers like though??
-
Wanted a cheap single cab been offered a 52 plate ranger with 70,000 and an l200 with 87,000, both the same money, both about the same condition, had an l200 before but never had any experiences with rangers, what do you fellers think?? Decisions decisions??

Turkey, pork, lamb and as many pigs in blankets as is possible without causing death!

Tons of places would suit me, staithes, isle of whithorn, carradale, mallaig, burnmouth

My old entec chippit is a well built reliable old machine but its missing a lot of paint!!

Is the caribean part of the uk??

Tree work!
-
Blowing summat nasty here on durhams east coast!

It's probably the auto box making it drink the juice. I get 25 towing in my 2.5 190hp navara
My mate has a navara same year as mine with auto box and its far juicier than my manual
-
I had a 130 tipper and all though it was handy for arb work it was a chore to drive, even on short distances! My navara on the other hand i would happily drive to the moon and back in perfect comfort with a trailer and far better mpg!
-
Ive dropped a couple in the water when doing willow clearance on rivers for EA, dried them out and theyre still running fine today
-
Yeah but theres less work here!
-
I have one like that! The cap is really stiff aswell, when you open it youve got to wiggle it out with quite a bit of force!
L200 or ranger??
