Whats the best way to start with this? direct letters to possible places that I think may be interested? also how much info do I put on this initial letter ?. ] Is it worth attempting to get work from farms, or will it be a waste of time, as they might do there own tree work although not qualified or anything. All help will be greatly received

Hi

I'd be very interested in part time work with you. I've got 5 years experience of working with chainsaws but no climbing as yet. I'm booked on to take the cs30/31 in September and am looking at taking the cs38/39 next year. I have my own saw and ppe and are able to travel.

Would you be able to keep me in mind for any possible work from the autumn onwards?.

Thanks

 9. I live between Driffield & Beverley, but would be willing to travel a bit. I've got my own protective gear and boots and use Husqvarna rancher 455. Any help would be great.

 11. Hi I've been using a chainsaw for around 5 years, but only recently got booked onto the CS30/31. I've not got any climbing experience, but am interested in getting some part time work/work experience in the East Yorkshire area. I'm working for Royal Mail, so could fit a few hours around this if anyone is willing to help. Ideally It would lead to a full/part time job in the industry. Thanks

 13. Thanks for your replies...it was all very useful. Would it be easier to be self employed in France, rather than working as a employee for someone else. We looked at properties in Limousin and Franche Conte a few years ago. Does the local governments maintain and run the forests or are most privately owened?. Thanks
 14. I'm interested in moving to France in the future. Which areas/regions are worth looking at for tree and forestry work? I'm Qualified with 5 years of chainsaw experience
