Wednesdays job, at a regular clients on Wednesday doing some gardening when I heard a loud bang ! I thought it was the barn door blowing shut or one of the horses kicking the stable door. I went to get a rake from my van and found this. My van was parked alongside the Amarok and was missed by inches

Just as an aside ...When you say a horse shoe lasts about 6 weeks its because the horses hoof has grown to the point of it needing trimming back which usually results in new shoes being fitted . If the hoof did not grow I think they would last longer ( dependent on road work or grass )

I was just looking for some feedback from any users of the Echo rotary blade head.
It looks like a really good bit of kit although it is going to cost around £250 so I was just wondering if there is a market to start stocking them. Looks fairly unique to me.
Any feedback will be much appreciated.
Not unique. This Maruyama landscape blade has been around for a while. Not got one yet. But have tried one and they work well.

Hi, Thanks for the replies, Stripped the saw today, bottom end, crank & mains are all good so i will just change the seals & leave the mains. I have ordered a Meteor cylinder & piston kit today, was tempted by the Hyway 52mm kit but have used Meteor pistons before and know they are good quality parts.
Jim372xp & Eddt_t what size bars do your saws run with the kits on ?
cheers Mark

Meteor make good pistons but don't think they do a pot . Highway arnt bad by all accounts . Don't go the Chinese route though . Do you know the cause of the failure ? Best fix that first if you haven't done so .
Hi, Cheers for the reply, The saw is a runner, but is an ebay special :thumb down:
which i brought to rebuild, (only had 60psi compression but still ran ok ish !
Going to do a full rebuild, bearings & seals, a Hyway 372 big bore cylinder 52mm,
with a meteor piston. Looking for the best top end to use & where to buy from.
Are there any uk suppliers of the Meteor kits ? i have found one on ebay us for about £113.+ any import charges !

Hi, I have got a 365 special which needs a new top end ( only got 60 psi compression ) I am going to use a 372 big bore (52mm) kit & wondered if anyone can recommend a good quality one to buy.

Yes, Probably weakened by the strong winds last week, it was a cold sunny day with the odd gust of wind but nothing strong.
