  1. Thanks for the reply. But as I said before, unfortunately I will have to borrow the 4k anyway, it's not money I have hanging around. It really is a budget job. Cheers

  3. Thanks for all the sound advice, and i take on board the HSE advice... Robert, i had seen this kwick chip machine on ebay. Is it the same guy? Does anyone have a comments on the kwick chip systems. I have always leant towards the TW systems because of my lack of experience and they seem to be the top name. 6. Probably been asked a thousand times before:001_tongue: Any advice on what to look for with second hand wood chippers? After xmas if all goes well i shall be looking for a towable one and want to spend up to 4k. At this kind of money it seems to be ones that have reached the end of their life with amenity company's. Mechanically what should i look for and are there any makes that should be avoided. Cheers

  8. I have used the saw now and it worked very well with the 24" bar. I had modified the muffler and re-tuned also turned the oiler up. So at the moment very pleased! Sent from my GT-I9100P using Arbtalk mobile app
  9. At the moment I have an oregon helmet and visor. I find that the mesh is too fine and when it rains the mesh clogs up with water. Can anyone recommend a system with a larger mesh aperture? Sent from my GT-I9100P using Arbtalk mobile app
  10. Used to do kick boxing. My last fight was when I was 48,got a broken rib and punctured lung from a well placed front kick. It was time to hang up the gloves! Sent from my GT-I9100P using Arbtalk mobile app
  11. Thanks Wyk. I will let you know how I get on. I will tune it tomorrow, then on Monday morning I have about 20-30 "ash" stumps that are around 24" tall to take down. Cheers Sent from my GT-I9100P using Arbtalk mobile app
  12. Ok, So i have spent some money and fitted the 036 with a 24" bar new sproket and chain, modified the muffler and turned the oil pump all the way up. I have got hold of a stihl tacho and on saturday intend to do the tune up. My question is, has the stihl 036 got a rev limiter fitted? having read up on tuning and watched a few youtube videos, the technique is slightly different for each type of ignition system.
