    Team Leader:

    Required for managing individual gardening teams and small contracts. Driving licence also required as clients are situated throughout Essex and North/East London.

    Salary £21-£23K depending on qualifications/experience.

     

    Gardener:

    Honest hard working gardeners required for busy gardening business based in Romford/Ongar, Essex. Our clients are situated throughout Essex and North/East London.

    Paid by the hour, hourly rate based on age/experience.

     

    Our yards are based away from public transport routes, so you will need to be able to drive to our yard locations.

  3. We have a position at Essex Gardening Services for a Garden Manager.

     

     

    Job description as follows:

     

    Job Title: Manager

     

    Reporting to: Managing Director

     

    Location: Company Yards/Clients Premises

     

     

    Main Purpose of the Role

     

    Manage the garden section; quoting, job scheduling, allocation of staff and maintaining quality of work. Assist on the gardening side with quotes and supervision of staff.

     

     

    Principle Duties

     

    • Respond to calls from clients re gardening work in a timely manner

    • Visit clients and prepare quotations as requested according to company policy

    • Undertake the work in person or supervise staff to undertake the work to required standard

    • Manage staff to hit targets

    • Ensure targets are met for work completed

    • Ensure all sites are left clean and tidy and customer are happy with the work

    • Dispose of all rubbish is the correct manner

    • Investigate, develop and execute new opportunities for the business

    • Deputise for Managing Director as required

    • Undertake work on the tree side as required

    • Training staff in line with qualifications held

    • Ensure Health & Safety requirements are met when on site and in company yards

    • Tool maintenance and servicing to ensure safe and efficient running of all equipment

    • Weekly van checks and reporting to the Managing Director of any issues that require attention

    • Any other duties as directed by the Managing Director

     

     

     

     

    Terms and Conditions

     

    Salary/Range: £ negotiable plus non-contractual commission

     

    Hours: As required (minimum 2400 pa)

     

    Annual Leave: 28 days including bank holidays

     

    Probationary period: 3 months

    Experience

     

    Essential - Managing gardening staff

    Proven experience as a Gardener

    Proven experience in Landscaping

    Proven experience in Fencing

    Essential –

     

    Be proficient with power tools and other powered equipment.

    Good working knowledge of Health & Safety.

    Be familiar with how best to ensure the safety of all personnel, and of the customer.

    To be able to complete work in a timely and professional manner.

    Have a desire to push towards further academic professional advancement.

    To be happy working outdoors in all weathers.

    Common sense and a strong sense of responsibility.

    The ability to work well as part of a team.

    To be able to communicate effectively with clients and employees.

    Essential - NVQ Level 1 & 2 in Horticulture

    PA06AW

    Driving Licence

    First Aid

    CSCS

     

     

    Desirable - CS30,31

    Stump Grinder

    Wood Chipper

    IPAFF 1B

    HGV & Trailer

    Higher level qualification in Horticulture

    Candidates must be physically fit and poses a strong work ethic.

     

    Personal development is encouraged with training given, along with opportunities for promotion.

     

    You must have access to your own transport, due to the location of our yards (no public transport links etc.).

     

    The main yard is based just outside of Romford along with another near Ongar.

     

    A full permanent contract will be given with 3 months probation including all normal privileges such as 28 days paid holiday per year etc.

     

    You will also need to pass a 3 day First Aid Course and CSCS as a minimum within an agreed timescale (unless already held) at your own cost. Courses can be paid for by the business, however you will need to sign an additional contract for each course booked for you to pay back an agreed amount monthly. Time spent at college will be un-paid.

     

    Wages will be paid monthly in to your bank account, along with a payslip given with all deductions etc. made.

     

    Competitive rates paid, based on your experience.

Minimum qualifications held must include CS30, 31 and 38 with 39 beneficial or in the view to pass within near future. Candidates must be physically fit and poses a strong work ethic.
