I subbied for a new guy recently, from the start he told me,where we were going, what we were doing, and why. He talked through every little an big thing I needed to know all day long! before I did it wrong & not later on when It was really annoying him!
It takes a lot of patience to do this, especially when its very hot & your working flat out. But by the end of the day it made things a damn site easier, an we both finished happy people, also knowing I know exactly what he wants next time,,,,,none of this mind reading or trawling forums to find out,
1 Day Very Well Spent.
Cheers..

Pics of the timber, trunk is a bit shabby
Sent from my HTC One X using Arbtalk mobile app

Yeah, hopefully someone can use it. It'll go on a heap on a farm if not. Not good for logs I've read!

A friend wants the right stem(stems) of this removing, it seems to be dying off with no leaf ( really poor pic due to dust in phone ) The thickest part is around 6-7inchs, I'll cut it down to cord wood. Does anybody want the timber as its good for carving & turning. Free to a good home if you'll send me pics of the end product. Any advice on the tree and wood greatly received.

Lists! I write things down and it simplifies things, and eases up the brain for other things.
I would be reluctant to give work away, but subby it to someone with known ability and standards that you would be happy to pass off as your own. Add your cut and watch your empire grow! just my two peneth worth.
Yes Lists, lists, listss!!!
My life is run by these, I've lived with stress and anxiety for some time, anxiety is an undying urge to do something or get something done, that results in stress when it doesn't happen. You always try & do 10 things at once & end up finishing none of them. I find the best thing to do is first thing in the morning clear your desk/table/ kitchen side and write a list of 5 things you need to do today & just concentrate on them. But always keep lists of other things you need to do, especially at night when you wake up panicking about something, write it down. I always over think things & have to bury my head in television to relax at night. I try to get the awkward jobs out the way first, client phone calls etc. When your spending too long trying to work out a problem always call someone or get on here(arbtalk), its so much quicker. And good staff help amazingly, be honest with them, explain the problems, costs, time limits & usually they will help..
apart from that, at the end of the day, try an appreciate what you have done, not the list of things you still have to do,,,

Hi
I am looking to get into arboriculture & tree surgery. I have NPTC Level 201,202 (CS30) & CSCS/LISS card & I will take more tickets as I can. This is a new career path I have taken this year, having gained some experience in clearing fallen trees, coppicing, hedge laying, fencing & plenty of brash dragging. What I lack in experience I more than make up in a desire to learn & do well. I hope to be a good ground worker & to climb at some point. I'm available for full or part-time work & given a little time think I would be an asset. I'm based nr Stamford, Lincs
Please message me if you have any work or feedback.
Thanks for reading

to be fair, the jobs I've looked at just ask for CSCS card, if you want to get onsite go on the CSCS site and apply for the labourer/construction site operative card(green), it'll save you time & money. I did the ROLO test today & it was the same sort of questions and cost £100!!,,
