Hi mate, got any feedback for us? Much appreciated
Yes so far so good, I am no digger expert (more an Avant expert) all seems strong enough and a few mates of mine who do operate diggers often have mentioned its well built for the money. I think its a real good all rounder and the dealers are easy to talk to, 100 hours in and no complaints yet......

Evening
Looking for some advice on flails. Would you go for a Femac or a Ghedini DA53? or any other make you think would work the best for heavy brambles, samplings and small Gorse
Cheers

I have a versalift on a Merc Sprinter. Really reliable and easy to buy parts if need be

The 25 meter spiders are the way to go. You need at least 10 meters outreach i find. You are looking more like £80k + Vat for one now but on the right jobs you can do two days work in one. Thats how you make your money with them. Even better with a good climber to be doing the dismantle whilst the spider is on other trees crown lifting etc. Mewps will never replace a climber but if you get both working well together then thats where the dollars at.

The dream set up that Merlo and grab. With a Ash die back contract I think it could pay and they hold the value when selling on

Why are you more likely to require arm protection in a MEWP🤔
A lot more cutting and holding I guess
-
Hi guys
Anyone ever wear the chainsaw protection sleeves for your forearm? I know one arm use of the top handle is bad but just looking for some extra protection for the lads especially whilst in the MEWP
Cheers

A mate recently had a new road-tow Schliesing and it was a bag of shit from day 1, and there is absolutely no dealer backup.
And it was £30k I believe!!!
He’s always had them, swears by them, and is the most meticulous person with his kit that I know. Whether his new machine was a one-off lemon or not I don’t know - what I do know is that the dealers (who are the importers I think) did nothing to help him out and he eventually lost two days dragging it the length of the country back to them and subsequently going back to collect it, with no assistance/goodwill from them at all.
I would proceed with extreme caution...What problems did he have with the machine?

Yer dealer back up is my biggest concern with moving away from Timberwolf as I cant fault spectrum plant.

Thanks guys. As long as the pull in power is good I don't mind it being lower. They certainly look well built. Does anyone have any experience with dealer back up?

Hi Guys
Anyone use the Schliesing 235 MX? need a new chipper and fancy something with better build quality to Timberwolf and Forst. Any videos I have seen of the chipper in action seem very slow infeed. What do you think?
Cheers

There is no mention of age? If it is fairly recent unit of say 7 years or so, I'd ask for factory and dealership records of similar failures. It may have been a common experience and as such, I'd be asking for som assistance?
The machine is 5 years old. To be fair to Jensen they have offered me a reduction on price for the Jensen chassis. Still comes in at the same price as something like the above which has the axle, wheels and lighting all set up ready to go..........

Good age to start, not everyone wants to go traveling, I started at 20 and being young I had the energy to work 24/7 with no other commitments. I have a successful business now just not much energy left 🤣
