I'll let someone else take the plunge and then I'll give it try to see if it's worth swapping for my lock Jack. £270 is expensive

Looks like my random choice of jacket has rave reviews!
I suppose the proof is in the pudding I need to see how it performs in the rain. Surprisingly it hasn't rained in the last two days but this kind of weather can't last haha
-
If they still moan after you spend £150 on jackets for them then nothings going to please them. Great jackets, I have one. Haven't used many others thought to give a comparison.
Im not buying 😂😂 so I'm not to bothered in that sense, money is no object apparently but I don't want to get it in the neck from management if we get these or the pfanners and they tear easily or let water in.
I wore mine today it kept the wind off me and seemed comfortable.
I hope it rains tomorrow 😳

I've been tasked to find better waterproofs for the lads, we currently have harkey smocks which aren't great.
So a trip to gustharts and a quick view of the stock I decided to try out the Clarke jacket.
It seems pretty well made and it's rather comfortable no rain yet but it'll come soon enough.
Anyway my question is will this jacket please 30+ lads that like a good moan, will I get some stick for recommending this jacket, and is their anything better out there?

I was looking at those Paul but I want overly convinced that those foam souls would be able to last didn't seem solid enough, plus........... Andrew!!! 😂
-
I've never had wet feet with the airstreams.
I've also never had a bad pair, 2 sets in 3 years.
A few lads I work with have had quality issues with them though mainly with the soles coming away.
It's coming to that time where I need to change and those arbotecs look decent so these might be worth a punt
-
I'm afraid the computer is in charge
-
Do you reckon it will change Chris?
Probably not, a lot of lads rely on that kind of work to pay bills
-
It might stop when their new trackers get switched on!
Already switched on, doesn't seem to stop them
-
Thanks for the post CJ.M.....all tracked or a mixture?
Both we've sacked off those terrible greenmechs
-
Did you go past mine yesterday Paul? Was just coming out the yard and a tr8 went belting past.
Amey have just got a load of forsts so you'll seen them more often in your area from now on

There are a few odd things about - https://fordtransit.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=61257 - unladen weight 2920kg though!
Regards,
Steve.
Once you get kit in and two people you'll only be able to chip one branch
-
The thing with kind of visor once it starts getting scratched it'll be useless
-
I got mine from Amazon for just under £40. It's an amazing bit of kit I would recommend anyone with a stove to get one. I aim the fan towards the living room door so it ends up heating the upstairs and kitchen
-
It's what you make of it, plenty of trees need climbing.
For someone that's leaving collage and wanting to become a decent arborist I would recommend that you stick to private work.
If you fancy the money and opportunities go for the utilities
-
I've had many so called water proof jackets now I just buy what's comfortable and resign myself to the fact I'll get wet when it rains.
I've got the stein smock, it's warm it keeps the wind off you and it's slightly waterproof. I would recommend it
-
9/10 it's fixable on site, it's only a engine and a hydraulic pump, pipe fitters are on call 24/7. If the engine blew then I'd be hunting down a farmer with a telehandler
-
Seems like a massive faff on.
I run the same set up as you, for what I pay for gas £6 a month and have hot water any time of the day it's a no brainier......personally I would leave everything as it is
-
I bought a Bose sound dock 10 a few years ago and it's one of the best bits of kit I've bought. It was a pricey at £500 but it's worth it and it'll last.
A quick google search and the Bose sound touch 30 seems to be its replacement

Take it off Stubby.
You can get a groundy to send some up if required.
What species of birds turds would you chose to send up?? Because that can make all the difference between breaking a fence or not

A wire core strop and a chainsaw, It's pointless having all that gear attached to you.

I wish
but how much better than using the raw ingredient or encouraging the stump to decompose with amonium sulphamate?
The chief benefit os ecoplug is that it is an"engineering" means of avoiding contact with a fairly non toxic chemical
That is not what is implied on the ecoplug.com site which says "The content degrades by the micro organisms to natural material such as carbon dioxide, nitrates, phosphorus and water." my inference is that they are not refering to the plastic capsule.
Yes I'm in Surrey and this is the first year since 1979 that I have not noticed stag beetles, so I'm all in favour of retaining dead stumps.
Don't use them then, simple
-
How many do you do in a day? Stihl BT 45 is less than 300 quid or find an old atom drill attachment for a saw.
I assume you mean eco plugs, what a terrible misnomer, is the plastic compost-able?
If you charge £25 for a 5 plug stump you sharp make your money back.
It's not really, it's an excellent way for killing a stump.
Their biodegradable you have zero chance of contamination, pets, children and wildlife are safe.
For the Eco side of things you can argue that a dead stump and root system is a great place for those beasties.

My old firm used a sthil bt45, what a cracking tool it's a bit pricey but compared to a decent cordless drill it's not that bad. I'm sure it has other uses than drilling stumps
Haix lovers take note!!!

I find them hot in summer and ice cold in the winter. I only wear them because of comfort it feels like I'm wearing my old trainers have done for the past 4 years I do fancy a change from Mendel. Those yellow haix protector pro forest(?) look pretty decent and a few lads love them so I think I'll try those
