Western hemlock? I've seen the odd tidy one round here to about 5ft. Soft needles & green all winter. Very fast growing and the clippings can be used to make very tasty tea! No idea if they stay nice in the long term though.

Are Lada Nivas being made again?

Hello... I'm after a small cheap (!) 4x4 for forestry and arb work in the Highlands. Normally there's a long drive to work on roads, then some short off-road on forest or estate tracks which can be muddy or snowy. Ideally it would have diff lock and decent clearance. It doesn't need to be a pickup, I have an L200 now but end up piling my gear on the back seats so it gets dried by the blowers. Any recommendations? Thanks!

Hi, I recently moved to the Inverness area and am looking for climbing or forestry work. I have some (but not loads) of experience of ground work and of climbing/dismantling. I’ve got tickets CS30/31, 206/306/308 (climbing/rescue/cutting) and 301 (felling trees over 380mm). I can provide saws and some climbing kit. I also have transport and insurance.
